A Time Apart: Scene 2 Separation Progress 1 + Another Glitch or Two

Today I hit breaking point with animating, I've took a step back to think why is that? I've come to the conclusion it's because I'm giving myself too much to do with the little time I have so I need to shorten scenes to say as much as I can with as little as possible.

Recently I signed up to prospela mentoring scheme and have started being mentored by someone from the industry. The advice he gave was to give my scenes/moments a beginning middle and end in an attempt to say as much as I can with as little as possible. Today I gave this a try and below are some full shots of these key moments for the beginning of Scene 2 inside the church, (I haven't forgot about the window shot).

(Lighting isn't done just a basic directional light and Arnold has a thing about textures and blinks).

Thinking about how I'm going to shorten this scene in comparison to my pre viz, Doris and Fred are still sitting in the corner but time doesn't change from day to sunset, Fred and Doris take a quick look around at the room and then to each other - their faces already say what they're feeling so I don't need to drag it on for so long. They look at each other and Fred closes his eyes and leans towards Doris - this moment shows that Doris makes him feel safe and secure, as long as he's got her he will be ok. This little moment is the last they have before it all goes south, their moment is interrupted by Doris quickly looking up - noticing someone. Fred goes to grab his case when the woman says "Where do you think you're going?" making him stop what he's doing, him and Doris pass a quizzical look whilst realising what's about to happen.

I'm not 100% on the shots I've used and I'm still refining the animation. Below is the first (extended) bit I animated followed by the shortened version that I'm going to refine and below that is the animation with my reference - thank you Laura and Jen!

For this scene I imagine the church looking like this but because they're only in the corner I'm going to keep the background simple - brick/stone walls and concrete flooring:

Here comes the glitches!
