Lesson 1 - 07/03/2018:
In today's class we looked at posing, the task was getting into pairs A and B, A's were taken away and given a pose to sculpt B's into such as: drug addict, hairdresser, gardener, football player, bully etc. From this we learned how much body language suggests without having to speak which we applied to the second task which was being put into groups and holding poses for 3 frames in order to visually tell a story through body language only. I was with Anastasija and Anabel, I played a angry bull who goes after the bullfighter, played by Anabel, and all goes as expected until crazed bullfighting fan, played by Anastasija, starts climbing into the ring - end of frame 1. Frame 2 was the bull diverting towards the crazed fan killing them and Frame 3 was the bull going after the sprinting Matador.
Lesson 2 - 13/03/2018:
Today's class was about status, the first task was I was the Ruler - very high status and everyone else were peasants - very low statuses, one by one they'd approach their Queen and when they did something that upset the Queen they were murdered, we switched turns of who got to rule. The second task was being given a card with a number on, that number would be the status we acted out by walking in the room, sitting on the chair, saying "Hi, I'm" and then their name and then would leave, the rest of the class would have to guess the number they had by their performance. I was a 6 and they guessed I was a 5. The final task of the session was to perform in pairs, partnered with Anastasija we were given characters to play, I was a beauty pageant judge who was taking the results to the host to be read backstage, Anastasija was the boyfriend of one of the contestants who wanted to make sure his girlfriend won, at first I played a high statused judge who had everything and couldn't be brought and Anastasija played a low status grovelling, after we switched statuses but maintained the same roles, Anastasija was the powerful rich man who did whatever it took to get his woman whatever she wanted and I played a pathetic coward who couldn't stand up for myself and do the right thing.
