Premise Proposal: Panda Mockumentary

I plan on calling this mockumentary 'Big Bear Cats' because the Chinese word for panda is 'Dà Xióngmāo' which means big bear cat. I found a magazine cover that has an art direction I like in addition to Takenoko.

Set in a Chinese zoo, the mockumentary will follow a family of pandas in their everyday life, their design wont have clothes and will be walking on 4 legs most of the time, occasionally they will walk on 2 legs. The family of pandas will be the mother and father bear and will have two mischievous twin boys. The father sets a bad example of 'how to do life' which they follow and get up to their own mischief like falling off a slide, falling out of trees, making zookeepers (who are dressed like pandas) life very hard, struggling to get down steps etc. I'm unsure if the mother character should be sensible and unimpressed or just as docile and ditsy. Part of the documentary could be set in winter time?

In the mockumentary there will be head interviews and at these points facts could be dropped in, like one character would say in the head interview about Pandas being excellent tree climbers and then in cuts to a panda falling out a tree. Or saying that they're great swimmers and it cuts to a panda splashing in a bath or completely submerged itself underwater.

In ancient times, Chinese people used to be afraid of Pandas, they are thought to have existed for over 2 million years, so to start maybe I could start the mockumentary by giving a little back story of that in a different art direction or as motion graphics and then cut to pandas today like in Kung Fu Panda - a transition could be a panda looking like it's about to attack and transitions to a panda collapsing into a sleep. OR I could start the documentary like What We Do In The Shadows does and have some text appear as an introduction.

As another possible start or as a potential ending could be a family photo and that could be one way to introduce the characters.
