Blog Revival

Hello everyone!

I know I've been silent on my blog since New Designers, but I've decided I'm not going to let it end with my degree and I've realised how valuable to me my blog is.

Some of you are probably wondering, what happened next after New Designers?

After a couple months of applying and a couple interviews, I landed myself an internship as a 3D Artist with a 3D printing company - My Mini Factory. They offered me the chance to learn ZBrush which I had been so eager to learn, the chance to get my first in-house work experience and I learned more about 3D printing which is a hobby of mine! I will go into more detail about my internship in a later post.

Some words of wisdom for soon-to-be graduates. Job hunting is incredibly difficult, tough and extremely competitive - there's no room for sensitivity or anxiety. It is impossible to be 100% prepared for job hunting and interviews when you gets them. Don't compare yourself to others, no one has the same journey to their first role. You've just got to keep going, keep giving it your all and keep making and learning new stuff - when luck isn't on your side try and make your own. Also whilst you've still got your student email addresses download as many softwares as possible because Maya and Adobe aren't the only programmes jobs ask for.
