From minor, I have learnt that I'm not really good at keeping to a day by day schedule, instead I will set myself weekly deadlines of things I want to achieve and try to get as much done as I can starting with next week. This will be better for my stress levels and help me mentally to be more efficient. I have started by making monthly targets which I'll divide into weekly targets and take life as it comes day by day.
January: Fred fully rigged and Rosa + Doris at least half rigged, completed pre viz + send to composer. Annotated shot list?
February: All characters rigged: Rest of Doris and Rosa, model indoor Fred + rough Fred's hairs, 2 half characters. Rig demos and demo reels of all. Sussed out Art Direction and have a few paintings to show for it, props designed, orthographs drawn. Model + texture sets. Lighting + test renders.
March: Start animating. Act 1 and half of 2 animated. Post viz and get act 1 approved for rendering and have it rendering whilst animating Act 2.
April: Second half of Act 2 and Act 3 animated. Get Act 2 approved for rendering and have it rendering whilst animating Act 3. Post viz everything - have unrendered version of my film.
May: 10 day countdown. Put Art of together whilst waiting for renders, create walkcycles and demo reels, put final film together.
Last priorities: Expression + gesture sheets, annotated shot list.
What about sound?
ReplyDeleteI've gathered most of the sounds/soundscapes I'm using in my pre viz and I plan on contacting my composer this month which will be the majority of sound
