The first video shows the character models, under their names I've written how far I've got with each character.
The video below is a demo reel demonstrating Fred's rig, this shows what my next steps are the other characters shown above.
Below is the most completed version of my art of.
Below is my pre viz - this is the closest I have to figuring out my final film, the majority of this are place holders, the characters used below are dummy rig placeholders which will be replaced with the characters above in the final film.
Hi Paris. Nice to see you posting early. However, there are few things that I think you could improve in your demo reel shot. They are...
ReplyDelete1) The text (and graphic) are twice as big as it need to be. It is dominating the screen.
2) You've go to all of that trouble to rig your characters but then rendered your characters in a t-pose. Why not pose them?
3) The front/head views can move up if the text is smaller and the arms put down because your character is rigging. You could even have them blink (if the face rigs are finished)
A demo reel's job is to demonstrate to an employer/viewer the quality of the work you have done. There is a sense in your demo reel (turnarounds) that you have become a little 'insular' about your work. Basically, forgetting to communicate the details because you are so familiar with what you have made. The audience is not though. How are the audience going to know that your character is rigged if you don't pose your character and so on. Hope that makes sense.
See example...
