A Time Apart: Fred and Doris Irises

I have tested my characters with irises as in my original designs, the eyes were going to be completely black with a specular highlight but I like the irises a lot more. Fred has dark blue with tint of grey coloured eyes whilst Doris has big brown eyes - all characters will have big pupils as it looks strange small and it still keeps that familiarity with the original designs. I haven't decided what colour eyes Rosa will have - something I will be testing over the weekend.

Small pupil test and eye type comparison

  1. Hi Paris. Those eye textures don't look quite right and I wouldn't want you to base your decision on them. Texturing large pupil doesn't mean putting black pupils over a iris texture. You have to recreate the details of an eye and how the pupil blends into the iris and how the iris changes towards the edge. Take a look at the start of the Part 6 texturing video from pipeline 1.
