A Time Apart: New Plan

Thinking (and stressing) about how much time I have left until the Minor Deadline, I have come up with a new plan of where I'm going to be in January. When hand in comes I will do my best to submit:

  • 4 full character animation ready models (tetxured, rigged and skinned): Doris, Rosa and Fred - there will be 2 versions of Fred for when he is inside the house and when he is outside with a coat on.
  • 1 half character animation ready model (tetxured, rigged and skinned) which is just legs downward.
  • Indoor Fred designs, colour tests for outdoor Fred, Doris and Rosa.
  • What I'll have of my art of by then (intro and most of Part 1's pre production)
  • Pre viz (moom edition)
  • Annotated Shot List
  • Figured out art direction with the characters in.
  • Rig demos of each character.
  • Showreel display of models (at least the main 4).
If by some miracle I get all this done by January 10th and have some more time I will also try to submit:
  • Expression sheets of all the characters side by side with the 3D version.
  • Gesture sheets of all the characters side by side with the 3D version.
  • Walk cycles of each character.

By February I want to be ready to start animating which means I will have all my sets modelled and textured, my scenes lit and matte paintings sorted. I want to be finished animating by the end of April.
