A Time Apart: Art Of - Progress 1
This post is to give an update on my Art Of, what I have so far and the sort of design I'm going with. I am keeping it fairly simple keeping my colour scheme to white, off-black/dark grey, red, tea coloured paper, my reason for this is because I'm going for an olden feel/letter theme (but still modern) like pen, worn out ink - I've been looking at the Art Of Pixar's Upas my main guide for my book as the protagonist is an elderly character and features the same olden yet modern vibe I'm going for, (images below: photos had to be taken on a camera as I was unable to scan). I like the spacious breathable layout and the way chapters have a name other than just "Chapter 1". I've only posted one family photo, the others are too personal to share online, the family photos have captions that my aunt hand wrote. I plan on only putting in the storyboards that are recognisable to the final film and I plan to have it broken up throughout the book so the storyboard corresponds with the chapter titles rather than have a bulk of it altogether.
The document below is to show what I intend to do.
Hey Paris - looking good... but you've got a lot of text in there and I want you to get it proof-read for spelling/grammar and syntax. It always worries me when students include big chunks of text, because invariably there will be errors in there. Are you writing in Word first before you include it in your documentation? You just want to be super-attentive to what you're writing here, as I've seen so many nice-looking Art Ofs spoiled by patchy writing...
I've had someone proof read it before I posted but I will copy to word to triple check, the big chunk of text is only throughout the introduction (which is only 3 double spread pages) there will be little to none text in the other chapters
Hey Paris - take another look at your embed code... :)
ReplyDeleteOh I see - thanks Phil! :)
