A Time Apart: House Interior

Today I've mostly been exploring the floor plan/interior for the house Fred stays at, instead of completely leaving him outside the whole time (initially done to save time) for my story to flow better and make more sense I need Fred to be inside at some point - it would make even more sense at the beginning to show why he's outside towards the end. I've found doing this created more and better story opportunities. I plan on combining elements from the house in Goodnight Mr Tom with what I remember my Great Nanna's house being like - concept art to come - my main two focuses when creating concept art is to make it recognisable as a 1930s/1940s house and that it looks lived in.
