Target Audience and Style

I have made up my mind on what style I'm going for (Dr Seuss in 2.5D) and my target audience are all 11 - 16 year olds in secondary schools, it is aimed at in particular those who find science or just learning in general difficult so my style will be simplistic to aid understanding. E.g. Comparing the two images below some wouldn't think these two visuals were the demonstrating the same thing (Cytokineses) because one is more explicit than the other and it's those I'm aiming to educate.
